Health Care

Over fifty percent of Americans have already availed themselves to some type of alternative health care treatment. However, state dental boards and medical boards are working around the clock to control and block citizen access to this vital avenue of health care. The Consumer Complimentary and Alternative Health Freedom Act will give Michigan - the same health care access that citizens are now enjoying in the states of California, Idaho, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Rhode Island. Michiganders will be privileged to patronize herbalists, holistic practitioners, naturopathic doctors, denturists, and scores of other trained and certified therapists without paying the outrageous fees that Michigan’s traditional medical health care system currently demands of them.

Think how happy the uninsured will be to have access to these safe alternative options of treatment. The proposed act as displayed on the home page sets out standards for safety and specialized education and certification in each area of practice. Safety standards are spelled out in the proposed law, allowing each profession to practice the extent of care that it has been trained to do, but at the same time assures the public that alternative care practitioners will not perform invasive procedures, prescribe drugs, take radiographs or diagnose medical conditions.

Michigan’s citizens are experiencing hard economic times; this is no time for playing politics as usual. They need and deserve a break in health care. The Michigan Alternative Health Care Committee encourages all citizens to call or write their local state representative at least once a month demanding that each one sponsor and support Michigan’s proposed Consumer Complimentary and Alternative Health Care Act.
